If you do not see the flaws of your partner,you do not really love a whole person, just an ideal. (mmmmm.....bla, bla, bla....)
Well that's true, because when you eventually do see the flaws you might decide that the qualities are not worth the flaws :-)
Being special (whether by our flaws or by our qualities) isn't alone a reason for love. I suppose the bigger basis for love lies in the person who loves not the person who is being loved.
